Serving Our Church

For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve...

Mark 10:45

God equips and empowers each believer for service within the church. Ephesians 4:11–13 reminds us that we are prepared "for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ." Each church member is uniquely endowed to serve others. As Peter states in 1 Peter 4:10, "As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace." As members of the First Baptist Church of Gettysburg, we embrace this stewardship, committing to gather faithfully with fellow believers in unity and to employ our spiritual gifts
in service and edification of one another, guided by the Holy Spirit.

With all of the ministry opportunities at FBCG, we hope to see you deeply involved in the life of our church family.
Should you seek further ways to serve or are uncertain where to start as a newcomer, please contact us by phone or complete a form. We are eager to guide you to a fitting service role within our church.
We appreciate your desire in using your gifts for the edification of the church, all for God's glory.
